Project Description

Restorative yoga is a conscious relaxation or deep rest for the body and mind. In this type of yoga, you use props to support the body in a pose so you can feel a gentle stretch, yet still feel comfortable enough to be able to hold that pose for 2-5 minutes allowing for complete release and relaxation.

This practice will specifically help those with insomnia. If you are having trouble falling or staying asleep then try this practice right before bed or even in the middle of night when you can’t fall back asleep. This practice will help to calm the body and quiet the mind, helping you to get to a place of deep rest and relaxation.

*Props needed: -3 blankets or towels -practice near a wall or have a chair available
